Peppermint, the award-winning farm-to-table restaurant offering halal-certified buffet stations at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore, is delighted to announce the launch of its first-ever Wonderful Indonesia buffet, happening from 26 February until 31 March 2025.

Special Guest Chef Degan Septoadji

Joining Peppermint’s Chef de Cuisine Chef Leon and his culinary team as a Special Guest Chef for this buffet is Chef Degan Septoadji, one of Indonesia’s most celebrated culinary experts. 

Born in Bali, Chef Degan is a graduate of classical European culinary training in Germany and has dedicated his career to promoting Indonesian cuisine on the international stage. As a former judge on MasterChef Indonesia (Season 2 & 3), he has become a household name, renowned for his passion for authentic Indonesian flavours. His achievements include leading high-profile events, such as the state banquet for the 43rd ASEAN Summit in 2023, and culinary showcases at prestigious venues across Europe such as the 3-Michelin-starred Schwarzwaldstube in Germany and Café de la Paix in Paris. 

A Celebration of Rich, Robust and Spicy Indonesian Cuisine

Look forward to a culinary feast of authentic Indonesian specialities, including Ayam Bakar Bumbu Keluwak, Bebek Betutu (Balinese-spiced roast duck), Lobster Bakar Bumbu Jimbaran, Ikan Acar Kuning, Jukut Nangka Mekuah, Sayur Lodeh, Gado-Gado, and more.

Traditional favourites like the hearty and flavourful Mie Bakso, a noodle soup paired with succulent Indonesian meatballs, Sate Lilit, minced meat satay served on lemongrass skewers, and Sop Buntut, a deeply flavoured oxtail soup, round off this remarkable buffet.

To complete the experience, guests can indulge in a special Buka Puasa Takjil, featuring dates to break fast during Ramadan, along with an array of traditional Indonesian desserts. Highlights include Kolak Pisang, a sweet banana and coconut milk dessert, Bubur Pulut Hitam with Coconut Cream, a warm black glutinous rice pudding, and Bolu Gulung Ondeh, a fluffy chiffon-style roll inspired by the flavours of ondeh-ondeh.

Exciting Collaborations and Giveaways

This will also be the first time that Peppermint is partnering the Embassy of Indonesia in Singapore to present the Wonderful Indonesia buffet. 

Traditional Indonesian décor will be provided to add a touch of authenticity to Peppermint’s dining space, and when paired together with Chef Leon and Chef Degan’s curation of authentic Indonesian dishes, the buffet promises to offer an immersive experience that captures the rich, robust and spicy flavours of Indonesia, bringing the essence of its culinary heritage to life. To further enhance the cultural experience, guests dining for dinner on the first two weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) of the buffet — 28 February, 1 March, 7 March, and 8 March — will be treated to captivating live performances by traditional Indonesian dancers.
