Yes. All foreign workers are subject to income tax according to the guidelines set by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. In general, depending on the total income for the year, the income tax should not exceed S$300 per year. Income tax has to be borne by the employee. The Human Capital Department of the hiring hotel will take care of the work pass application. Once approved by the Singapore government, all work pass holders (including IPA holders) entering Singapore has to adhere to the prevailing guidelines. You will have to work closely with the Human Capital Department who will assist you to complete the necessary screenings or tests before entering Singapore. Yes, transportation cost incurred for the purpose of employment between 1 January to 15 February 2022 will be covered by the hiring hotel. Please provide proof of payment, e.g. receipts or invoices for reimbursement. The cost of return to Malaysia will be borne by the employee.
While it is the employee’s responsibility to find your own permanent accommodation in Singapore, the hotel provides a monthly housing allowance of S$200 per month to subsidise the cost. Should you require temporary accommodation upon entering Singapore, we will provide accommodation for up to two weeks in one of our hotels, allowing you to have time to find your permanent accommodation. The hotel Human Capital Department can provide some advice and guidance in this matter.
All costs including screenings / tests in Malaysia and Singapore will be fully borne by the Hotel. The Hotel will also arrange for / bear the cost of your quarantine order if applicable. The Human Capital Department will work closely with you on this.
