Best Fitness Activities for Long-Stay Travellers in Singapore
Welcome To Singapore's Workout Hotspots
Singapore is home to the fitness-obsessed.
In the country ranked as the fourth healthiest country in the world by Bloomberg, Singaporeans enjoy exercising and working out to burn those calories.
If you’re staying for weeks or months in Singapore, a gym membership may not be the best investment for you. But thankfully, the sunny year-long weather and extensive expanse of public parks and some of the best fitness activities in Singapore make it easy for you to indulge in your health fix after work or on weekends.
1. Run or Bike Endlessly on Singapore’s Park Connector Network
Address | Tanjung Rhu Promenade, Singapore and other locations |

Closest to the PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Singapore is the Tanjong Rhu Promenade stretch of the Eastern Coastal Loop. Starting from East Coast Parkway, the Eastern Coastal Loop park connector takes you all the way to Bedok Reservoir to Pasir Ris Park and further on to Changi Beach Park.
You can rent your bicycles using mobile apps services such as OBike, ofo, and Mobike. All that is needed is a small deposit. Or just bring your jogging shoes or rollerblades along to get your daily workout in.

You can’t claim that you’ve lived on a tropical island without some splashing good fun on Singapore’s waterways.
Fortunately, you don’t have to go all the way out to Singapore’s offshore island Pulau Ubin to kayak, or to splurge on a Singapore River ride. Boat rentals are available at the Water Sports Centre at the Singapore Sports Hub - a mere 5-minute drive or 20 minutes by public transport from Beach Road.
Kayak and canoe rental starts at SGD15.50 per person during non-peak hours and SGD18.00 per person during peak hours for two-hour rides, and pedal boat rental starts at SGD12.40 per person during non-peak hours and SGD14.40 per person during peak hours. We recommend double boats for beginners, and the double pedal boat as a particularly romantic option for you and your loved one!

Most mall workouts start at 6:30pm, 7:00pm, or 7:30pm to accommodate working professionals’ schedules. It doesn’t hurt that you can pick up your dinner and groceries on the way home from the same mall.
