The Top Saigon Activities for Kids
Now that you’ve got your accommodation settled, your next goal is to keep your children occupied. Where in Saigon can your kids have a blast and play all day? Read on to find out!
Cool Down at Dam Sen Water Park
This is a popular play destination for local and expatriate families in Ho Chi Minh City, especially when the weather is steaming hot. Dam Sen Water Park has even been hailed as one of Asia’s best water parks, and why not? It’s got speed slides, a wave pool, and thrill rides—including a Flying Fox over the waters—perfect for satisfying the wild at heart.
Recent visitors have noted that the park is clean and safe, with lifeguards and staff making sure that everyone plays by the rules. Pack snacks, drinks, and food supplies, and you can park your family here for at least half a day.
If you’re still game for more fun, dry off at the adjacent Dam Sen Cultural Park (with separate entrance fees). Here, you can take a leisurely walk through the botanical garden, visit a butterfly farm and miniature zoo, or score even more points with your kids by making a beeline for the fairground attractions. These include a ferris wheel, a roller coaster, and a Haunted House—all the right elements for a day of family fun in Saigon!

Discover a World of Occupations at KizCiti
This Saigon attraction may be more low-key than the world-famous interactive city KidZania, but your kids will get to sample just as many occupations. At KizCiti, your child can try jobs like rice farming, DJ-ing at a radio station, being a fashion model, joining the army, and doing what most kids fantasise about—firefighting!
The language spoken here is Vietnamese, but staff will attempt to translate everything into English if necessary. Treat it as a cultural immersion experience, and your kids will likely catch on quickly anyway.
Parents can drop off their kids if they wish, but you can also wait for them at the KizCiti cafe, and use the time to catch up with your partner or indulge in some holiday reading!

Work Your Body and Brain at Push Climbing
It’s trendy to rock climb in Saigon these days—previously, it seems locals had shied away from the sport because they had associated it with mountain climbing, rather than indoor wall climbing! Fads aside, if you’re looking for a family activity that combines physical skill with mental agility, this might be it.
At Push Climbing, kids aged six to 12 can let loose in the “Jungle Gym,” which is a playground designed to give kids a taste of rock climbing. (Those below six will require parental supervision.) You can also take advantage of Push Climbing’s Family Sunday promotions to enjoy better rates for your kids.
Don’t forget, it’s also a chance for parents to conquer new heights! There are climbing routes for beginners as well as seasoned climbers, so everyone can find their groove here.

Top Saigon Places of Interest for Teens and Adults
If your teens are ready, take them to experience Saigon’s most evocative sights—its war attractions. But if your teens just want to chill out or decompress, we know exactly where you can go!
Imagine Underground Life in the Cu Chi Tunnels
If you’re setting aside time for a day trip away from Ho Chi Minh City, do consider visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels!
Here’s some background: during the Vietnam War (1955–1975), Communist guerrilla troops known as the Viet Cong needed fresh ways to evade the American and South Vietnamese forces that they were up against. Their solution was to build an extensive network of tunnels beneath the Cu Chi district (northwest of Saigon), which they could use to house troops, transport communications supplies, and lay booby traps for the enemy. Over time, these tunnels even became home to entire village populations—improvised spaces included kitchens and living spaces, as well as schools, theatres, and hospitals!
Teens don’t have to be war buffs to find the Cu Chi tunnels intriguing—or who knows, this may set your teen off on a new journey of discovery! Check with your hotel concierge to arrange transport or a guided tour.
Remember the Victims of War at the War Remnants Museum
Want to show your teens that there is no fairness in war? At the War Remnants Museum, you’ll only get one side of the story, but a compelling one it is. This is a museum solely dedicated to preserving the horrors of the My Lai Massacre, one of the largest publicised massacres of civilians by US forces in the 20th century.
Do prepare your family members in advance though. You will see images that you won’t soon forget, such as villagers pleading in vain for their lives, or the mutilated bodies of the injured and slain. This is one of Saigon’s best-rated museums, but some have said they were “shocked to the core” by the exhibits. Please use your own judgement as to whether it will be appropriate for your children.

Band Together at We Escape
The family that plays together, stays together! For something more light-hearted (and less gory), consider booking a puzzle-solving session at an escape room.
There are several outlets for We Escape and Lost Escape Room—choose the former, as it seems to be much better rated. Just make sure that the counter staff are able to explain everything to you in English, so that you can embark on your family adventure without a hitch.

Bounce Your Cares Away at Jump Arena
Life doesn’t have to be complicated, and sometimes, the simple act of jumping is enough to spark joy!
At Jump Arena, your teens can freestyle on a trampoline, or play dodgeball and a bouncier version of basketball against others. They can also catapult themselves onto a giant airbag, just for the fun of it. Do also take the opportunity to shake off your own inhibitions for some unbridled airborne fun with your teens, before heading out for a well-earned meal together.

Shop for Vintage Apparel at Mayhem Saigon
Fancy a break from tourist-friendly central markets and mass-consumption malls? Take your teens to get togged out at Mayhem Saigon—this trendy apparel retail outlet is a boon for fashionista families. Be it a vintage leather jacket, retro tee, or classic denim, you can be certain of scoring some unique finds here!
