Nestled within Penang National Park, the Penang Turtle Sanctuary can be found on the picturesque Pantai Kerachut (Kerachut Beach). Its primary mission is to protect and preserve the diminishing turtle populations in Malaysian waters. Various species of Turtles make their way to the beach at night to lay their eggs. These precious eggs are diligently guarded against threats, including human interference, until they naturally hatch after an incubation period of about 60 days.
