Whistler is renowned for the wide variety of events and festivals that take place here. From Village ice skating, the Fire & Ice Show and live music, to bike races, yoga, farmer’s markets and kids events,  there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the year with these exciting Whistler BC events.

The first ever winter, hybrid games with 532 competitors from a record 23 nations competing in adaptive sports including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling. Cheer on the competitors and experience Whistler Invictus Village, an expansive experience of interactive displays, free, daily concerts, live sport competition viewing locations, and cultural and family-friendly activities.

More than 150 athletes, representing more than 25 countries, battle it out for the title of king and queen of luge. This action-packed event features a track full of amazing activities including entertainment, local food options, beer gardens and much more! Be trackside to check out these athletes who will reach speeds of up to 130 km/hour.

The Peak to Valley Race, presented by See Ya Later Ranch, celebrates its 39th year on Whistler Mountain. This unique race is not only long-standing, it's also the longest GS race of its kind on the planet, challenging teams of four to race down Whistler Mountain.

Get off the beaten path and explore the edge of believable with captivating stories from the 49th Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival. From exploring remote landscapes to adrenaline-fueled action sports, films selected for the 2024/2025 World Tour are sure to captivate and amaze you.

Born out of a love of all that is mountain culture, the World Ski & Snowboard Festival (WSSF) has been the ultimate après of the winter season since 1996. This annual celebration of snow sports, music, arts, and culture showcases Whistler’s reputation as a mecca for mountain culture.⁠

The scenic running course is designed to showcase all that Whistler is - an amazing town nestled in the coast mountains of BC. With towering, glacier-capped mountains as the backdrop, it is no wonder that Whistler's only half marathon has made it to the must-do list for distance runners from across North America. Events include Half Marathon, 30K, 10K, 5K and Kids Run.

From the creators of the award-winning RBC GranFondo Whistler, XFONDO is back in Whistler! XFONDO is not an exclusive gravel cycling event, rather it's an adventure on all the terrain a bike can take you. It's a visceral experience, real and perceived with your new event buddies, sharing an experience that will be a full on challenge for all your skills. From winding gravel switchbacks to flowing descents framed by unreal mountain scenery (and a ton of mud just waiting to be sprayed), Whistler serves it up. The courses are 42 - 60K with an elevation of 1000 - 1300 metres.

Back for their 20th anniversary edition in 2025, Crankworx Whistler brings together the best riders and biggest bike fans in the world for 10 days of elite and amateur racing, slopestyle competitions, Kidsworx events, bike demos, expositions, and the chance to shred Whistler’s trails with other like-minded bike fans. While the festival has gone international, each year the global mountain bike community comes home to Whistler for the ultimate celebration of all things mountain bike.

The RBC GranFondo Whistler is a stunning point-to-point cycling journey along the famous Sea to Sky Corridor between Vancouver and Whistler. There are distance options from 55 km to 122 km and all offer beautiful landscapes and a clear, traffic-free passage along the Sea to Sky Highway.

The 12th annual Whistler Village Beer Festival, presented by Gibbons & Brewhalla, is returning in 2025. The main event on September 13, will feature 40+ craft beverage manufacturers and over 80 varieties of craft beverages, including beer, cider, and seltzers to sample at the iconic Olympic Plaza, with the mountains as your backdrop. Complete with food trucks, live music, interactive activities, and thousands of fellow festival lovers, this event is always an incredible time.

The Whistler Writers Festival is an annual event celebrating the literary arts. It’s a chance to connect with the very best local, Canadian and international authors by attending workshops, readings, speaker panels, musical events and more.
