The Lennox Bridge is a sandstone single arch bridge built along Parramatta River. Located on Church Street, the bridge was designed and built between 1836 to 1839, under the supervision of David Lennox, the first Colonial Superintendent of Bridges. The Lennox Bridge is the third oldest surviving masonry bridge in New South Wales.

Over 20 farmers and producers from the Sydney basin and regional NSW gather at Centenary Square farmers markets every Friday. Head to the market where you'll find fresh seasonal produce and artisan food. World Heritage Listed Parramatta Park is a must see for visitors to Sydney. Colonists and convicts were one of the first to be successful in growing sufficient food to feed themselves on this land. The park was considered too attractive to solely be reserved for cropping and was later used by successive Governors as respite from the stresses of running a very large open air prison. Following a determined public campaign, the area was gazetted a People's Park in 1858. Old Government House is the oldest remaining public building in Australia.Tucked in beside the Macquarie Street entrance is a large formal rose garden which contains a rare collection of heritage roses.

A short five minute drive from the hotel is Elizabeth Farm, a rare example of an early Australian colonial bungalow built in 1793 for John and Elizabeth Macarthur, pioneers of the Australian wool industry.

Elizabeth Farm is a unique museum that allows visitors to experience life in the early 1800s through open rooms and 'hands on' experiences. The homestead's deep shaded verandahs overlook a beautiful recreated colonial garden containing trees from the first years of settlement - including Australia's oldest European olive tree.

The 'Life Along the Riverbank' walk was created by historian Michael Flynn, artists Susan Milne and Greg Stonehouse and Parramatta City Council’s Parramatta Stories Project. The walk features artworks and story walls along the river foreshore, revealing stories of hardship, love, loss, survival, order and punishment.
